Google ReviewsBeautiful cafe, beautiful dish ware, amazing pastries, and the percolated coffee with the heavy cream… omg amazing. The owner came to my table and asked how the food was, I genuinely enjoy learning so much about her and these dishes she creates. She’s an artist! Service was amazing, this place deserves to be packed 24/7. I wish I was off work early during the week so I could enjoy every day! Thank you for providing Streator with something truly unique.
Very nice place. Delicious Eastern European food, and nice atmosphere. Limited selection of bakery pastries but what they do have is of excellent quality. We go for lunch and bring home tomorrow's breakfast as well!
One of my absolute favorite places to visit! Everything I’ve tried has been delicious, and is like having a cozy home cooked meal. My personal favorites are the crescent cookies and grits, don’t pass them up! 10/10, no notes. The owner is so sweet and always takes the time to chat with me and others whenever I pop in. It’s such a welcoming atmosphere and decorated so cute and cozy that I never want to leave. Definitely recommend giving this lovely place your business, it’s well deserved!
Toni brings her family’s immigration story and delicious Croatian/Slovenian recipes to this modest town in the most humbling and heartwarming way. Upon arrival, you may sit wherever you want and enjoy the beautiful tables and easy music that makes you feel like you’ve traveled to their home without ever buying a plane ticket. The beauty comes from the family heirlooms, collectibles by Toni herself, each with a unique story worth listening to Toni talk about. I had the joy of conversing with her for a long while as she shared her family’s story. I won’t give it away, come in yourself! She’s so kind. But once you’ve filled your heart, filled your soul with home made pastries and breakfast that will surprisingly leave you satisfied more than any fast food chain ever could. The coffee is light and fresh, the sausage and gravy streudel is incredible with its light and flaky phyllo, and elegant dishes. I was wowed by the Potica’s lightly sweet and slightly nutty flavor. You’ll love this paired with coffee.
My Husband and I stopped by for some breakfast and music. The food was fabulous with high quality and home grown ingredients. It was our first visit and won't be our last. Our server was wonderfully attentive in a classy uniform. We loved that our food was served on beautiful glassware as a nod to Streator. Such a charming restaurant that didn't disappoint with excellent food and appropriate serving sizes. We also enjoyed live music from Jake and Nate on alto sax and cello. Perfect Saturday morning relaxation.
