Google ReviewsWent for LUNCH on a Saturday. Not sure if it is the same during the week, but the lunch menu is very limited. There is a basic salad bar and some bar food with fries and pasta (I forgot to take a picture of the lunch menu.) Admittedly I was disappointed as I eat low carb and was looking for meat or seafood. Other than that service and atmosphere were good. I got the meatball trio appetizer which was supposed to come topped with ricotta whip but did not. Other than that it was good. They hand you a regular menu with the lunch menu, but the only thing you can get off of the regular menu are some of the appetizers. It seems this is the case from 11 until 3. They really should post their lunch menu on the website.
Took my wife for Valentine’s Day. We have 3 young kids and don’t get out much just the two of us often. We were both excited to eat there as it had been about 3 years since our last visit… what a terrible night. Salad bar was pretty much gone, which was my wife’s dinner. Drinks disappeared and different drinks appeared when we went to get our salad bar. No silverware, and at 8:45 they asked if I wanted to cancel my meal or still have them bring it out. I cancled and we left. I will never go back again.
Absolutely delicious lunch at Gaetano’s Vault! The salad bar was incredibly fresh with the most topping options I’ve ever seen, and the soups (sweet potato, Italian wedding, and creamy mushroom) were phenomenal. Only one server was on, and she did an amazing job taking care of a nearly full restaurant. Truly a stellar experience—so happy to find this gem in Streator, Illinois. We’ll definitely be back!
A group of us ladies came in this past Friday for the lunch special we've heard so much about. We were greeted at the front door and offered the booth in the corner, which was delightful! The waitress was so cute, she recommended the booth seeing that we would probably sit and chat for quite some time. Food was great. Broccoli cheddar soup from the all-you-can-eat salad bar was fantastic. As well as the alfredo. We even ordered a martini and it was delicious. And for a great price! Love the decor and ambiance of the place, very darling. Our waitress was so sweet and thoughtful. She explained the lunch specials to us, patient with us taking forever to decide what we wanted. Just over all very hospitable and caring. We made a joke that we never get this kind of treatment anywhere, ha ha!
Came with a parent early on a Saturday around 5pm. When we arrived we were one of the only 3 tables seated. Soon afterwards there wasn’t a seat to be had. So glad we went early. It seemed that there were only 2 servers, one of which was also hosting. That made for some slow service and some confusion, like seeming like you’re forgotten. But the server was super nice so it made up for it. I tried a seafood chowder to start. It was pretty good. But there was a pretty noticeable chip in my bowl. I would think a dishwasher would have caught that and discarded the bowl. Or if not maybe the server. Then I got a vegetable lasagna that I liked also. But they put these two pieces of bread on the side that were all burned up. Again I would think the kitchen would have someone that looks at the dishes before they come out and makes sure everything looks okay, but who knows maybe that’s only something you see on the movies. Dad got the filet mignon. For the geographical area, it’s pretty good. Especially when you consider most all everybody around there is usually eating is fried tenderloins, fried chicken, fried pickles and French fries, to get a little variety is good. And I am likely to try it again sometime.
