Mr j’s hot dogs & gyros 2

We've been to the Oglesby / Jonesville Mr. J's a several times now and have always had a good experience. So far we've tried the pork tenderloin, meatball sub, Italian beef and double cheeseburger. All meals were served quickly, food was hot and tasted excellent. I'd argue Mr. J's has some of the best pork tenderloins in the Illinois Valley area. The service is great and the restaurant has a real cozy atmosphere. Everytime we've dined in or ordered out the restaurant was very clean and well kept. Would highly recommend!

Ordered like 4 gyros. One plater. And the horchata drink. When I ordered online. He said fries comes with the plater. But not the sandwich Ok, cool. So I ordered a large fry. The plater didn't come with fries. And the drink was pretty much cinnamon and lots of it. Asked for ice. They didn't put ice in it. So it pretty much tasted like drinking warm cinnamon water. They gave a lot of meat. Which was cool. This was at about an hour before closing. Picked it up within 15 min. After ordering. Gotta say. $50 for what I got is pricey. But the meat made up for it. The sandwiches would have been better with fries. And the drink sould have been fresh and have at least some rice water to it.

I just left there less than an hour ago. I decided to get my husband's Father's Day dinner from here. I'm glad I did. It was our first time & did not disappoint! The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We will definitely be going back in the near future!! (The photo was my Gyro Sub. I cut it in half for the pic. It was so good)

Okay yes their gyros are amazing & what they’re mostly known for but I have to say they serve up the BEST burgers!!! Get the bacon cheeseburger you can’t go wrong! My goodness, I don’t even know what they are doing to make them so good! I’m not much of a burger person in general but that has become my go-to when I order there now. The Greek salads are good, too & who can go wrong with cheese fries? Absolutely delicious & for me close to home so let’s keep these guys in business! Jonesville may be not as close for some but totally worth the drive!

So we just ordered through doordash! Gyros plates are top notch! I couldn't believe what we got for the price. Poppers, fried pickles, cheese curds, and fries were excellent! This was a great choice for a first time experience! Might of just found my Sunday and Monday night stop when everything else is closed! Thanks guys!
