Maybe if you are lucky you can see the the husband of the LaSalle County’s Health Department smoking at the bar because he thinks he is entitled. To everyone raving about the soups, they are out of a can. Lol.

Great homemade chili, burgers, and sandwiches. Cubs & Sox fans will love this place. Used to be nicknamed "the home of characters" and the owner Jim Chalkey is one of them! This place is one of the best little secrets in Streator and has been in the family over 93 years.

If you are traveling through Streator you must stop here and have a cheeseburger or a grilled steak sandwich or even one of the few places left that has the liverwurst on the menu. This is just an old time bar that still serving food. I love this place
