Google ReviewsOne of the best places in town. Great food, no nonsense place that can still feed a big family for less than an arm and a leg. Only place in the valley you can get a good hot dog. Would be 5 stars if they weren't closed every time I tried to go. 9 times out of 10 regardless of what the posted hours say, there will be a sign posted in the window saying they're closed for this or that. The kids get their hopes up and whomp whomp they're closed, guess we'll get something else.
Stopped by today 5/9/2022 to pick up two tenderloins and fries. (Wasn't serving anything other than fries). Picked up only to find short on an order of fries, and tenderloins werent made to order. Had to call and drive back for the 2nd Fry. Was told on the phone, would be a half hour wait for my order cause they were busy. But once I was there for pick up (both times) I was the only vehicle at the window. No one else around. $19.00 + later. No thanks !
Stopped by today to get a Chicago style hotdog special for lunch and was greeted with probably the most miserable looking employee I've seen in awhile. No "hello," no smile, and seemed a bit mad that she had to get off her phone to take my order. Food was good (best dog I've had outside of Chicago!) and out in a reasonable time, but holy cross contamination. Never washed her hands and watched her touch: food, money, her phone, her drink, her face (no mask), and back to food all while using the same pair of gloves. Please train her on proper food safety handling and how to be nice to customers, otherwise I would give Tones 5 stars!
Eaten here many many times. Small hole in the wall Dog & Ice Cream shop. Always get the jumbo chili dog with cheese on poppy bun. Can't get enough. And the price. To feed 4 people with a dog and fries and drinks costed me just over $20. Pros: Affordable, good quality, friendly, fun to order and eat there. Cons: Only accepts cash, almost always busy and there is a wait, no indoor seating. Place has been here forever. So they are doing something right. Chicago dog is like an authentic taste of chicago. This is a must visit place.
I've driven by so many times and finally tried it. We ordered Polish sausage Chicago style. $3.79 right now gets you a hot dog, a lot of fries, and a small drink, and the drink is pretty small. Service was friendly and fast. This is what summer tastes like.
