Ziggy's Bar & Grill

We were camping at Illini State Park and drove into town for a birthday dinner celebration. It was our taste buds that celebrated! Best burger we have had! We all said we would drive back from our hometown about two hours away just to have the burger again! Yummy!

Food was great! The atmosphere was perfect for what we were looking for. It had a great little bar and staff was friendly! Perfect!

We needed a quick place to get a bite before part of group had to head back north. It was a great choice. The Ziggy burger was fantastic! The tenderloin was huge and delicious.

My wife and I took "South" off the I-80 and found ourselves at Ziggy's just 3.2 miles later. We had a great lunch, cold beer and enjoyed speaking with the owner and bartender. Fried chicken is exceptional. Darn good cheese curds too!

On a motorcycle trip heading across the state of Illinois along The Illinois river over to the Mississippi river for a weekend barhop. stopped in here to get something to eat for dinner and to let the rain pass. First thought the place is very clean, cool tavern atmosphere and they have a nice menu, they have a little pool hall, a slot game room, dartboard and pro golf. We ordered the nachos they were good but we would have definitely ordered them without the purple onions because there was no shortage of them on the nachos. After leaving Ziggys my girlfriend and I both agreed that because we weren’t local or regulars it seemed as if we were an inconvenience. I’m sure it wasn’t meant to be like that but that’s how it was and that was our experience. the gentleman next to us was also on a motorcycle stop to slide out of the rain and it seemed to us he felt the same way. Im sure Ziggys is a Good Tavern but for me and my Girl it will be written up as a good once in a life time stop.
